Since the technology like P2P has pushed all boundaries making easy to access the music, movies by sharing to each others, it is greatly hurting the entertainment industries business. I think the entertainment industries need to protect themselves instead of depending on government to take appropriate step. Its completely messed up the royalty system and the artists are losing their direct revenues through record sales greatly. I think that needs to be fixed and closely monitored by the industries, the record industries should come forward and create a set of standards for distribution of digital content across countries through different platform, they need to make a forum or a platform where the users will send the file directly to them for content reference and cross checking before sharing it to others and thereafter it should be permitted for sharing and downloading.

One renowned artist said on his interview recently;
90% + of his income is in touring. He makes almost nothing on record sales. It’s really sad.

The price of a CD has been going down day by day since they were introduced, when I bought my first CD it was $30 and they now available for sell about $10 - $15, If you buy a CD, think in this way you are helping your favorite artist and his family for their hard work and you are going to be proud owner of particular CD, you can decorate your music and movie library by adding one more number of CD/DVD in your shelf.
