Angelina Jollie spent Christmas Day with refugees on Costa Rica as part of her work as a goodwill ambassador for the UN high commissioner for refugees, the agency said. She arrived on Monday to visit a group of mostly Columbian refugees children & families. There are about 11,500 refugees in the country. Most fled Columbia due to a conflict between leftist guerrillas, soldier & paramilitary forces. " The conflicts in Columbia is the greatest humanitarian tragedy in the western hemisphere, but it receives very little international attention," she said. " My Christmas message to Columbian refugees is that the world has not totally forgotten them." Thanks Jollie for these kind words, we have also not forgotten you.

I heard the situation in the Western Hemisphere is intriguing for decades and its get little attention, I hope Jollie will definitely do some great thing.

I admire her for her devotion to raising the awareness of refugees and third-world countries.
My daughter's father is Colombian and he came here to escape life there. However he didnt get refugee status and was sent back.
