A drunken passenger on a Delhi - bound Australian Airlines aircraft from Vienna created a scare at Delhi Airport claiming he had explosives with him & would blow up the plane. The mid-air drama began after 10.30 pm on Friday when the Boeing 767 carrying 300 passengers & crew was approaching Delhi. Mirasi Muslim Bilal, an Indian who boarded the flight from Vienna, suddenly started shouting that he was carrying several bombs with him & would blow up the plane after which the captain of the aircraft sent a distress signal. Bilal had reportedly consumed alcohol in excess during the journey & was demanding more. When the crew refused, saying the aircraft was about to land, he threatened to blow up the flight. Soon after the plane landed, Bilal was taken into custody by airport security personnel & handed over to the police. TOI News
