Dogwear - this is an entire wardrobe of unattractive clothing that is reserved for walking the dog, which must be mud-proof, wind-proof, rain-proof and have lots of pockets. It also extends to a whole range of practical footwear and headgear. The look is not far removed from "baglady", and has it's own distinctive smell.

  LOL - when I first saw Dogwear I immediately thought Legally Blonde.
  
  Unfortunately though, "dogwear" does seem to have taken off - they have a section in the Next Directory for it!

PMSL, I was talking about MY wardrobe, not the dog's!

I foolishly bought my border collie bitch a waxed coat, thinking it would keep her clean and dry in wet weather. However, having seen her do "the walk of shame" on the coat's first outing, I could not bear to subject her to such humiliation a second time.

Now she only sports a collar (as legally required in the UK), with a matching leash bearing the legend "One of us is a bitch".
